The world of hair styling has significantly grown over the years, with a variety of tools to create salon-worthy styles from home now available.
One that has emerged as a highly coveted tool is the "game-changing" Shark FlexStyle, which has often been compared to Dyson's incredibly popular AirWrap, worth £400. Better yet, we know where you can get it for the cheapest price.
Amazon has currently slashed Shark's bestselling hair styler from £269 to just £200.96 in a limited time deal. It's the cheapest price you can get the hair tool for, as Shark, Lookfantastic, Boots and Currys have it on sale for £242.99, meaning Amazon users are getting the best deal.
The multi-use tool combines a hair dryer with a styler, allowing you to create multiple looks. With four different attachments for straight and wavy hair types, you can curl, straighten, volumise and even smooth your locks.
Using coanda technology and measuring heat 1,000 times per second, the Shark FlexStyle prevents heat damage, leaving your hair looking "healthier" and "shinier". It can even prevent frizz and the look of split ends, with some shoppers praising the "salon worthy" results.
Meanwhile, its "lightweight" design is said to weigh under 700g, making it easy to use. The compact design also means it is ideal for travelling, as it can be popped into your suitcase without taking up too much space.
Hundreds of Amazon shoppers who have purchased the Shark FlexStyle have left it glowing reviews, as many of them compare it to the coveted Dyson AirWrap, with many saying it is "equally as good" for the price.
One five-star review read: "Amazing! A fraction of the price of a Dyson and equally as good! Can’t wait to use it more often!"

A second positive reviewer wrote: "I'm so happy with this. I rarely used to blow dry my hair because it always felt so dry afterwards. The air this produces is something else!! So glad I took the leap and ordered this over the Dyson one. Such better value! I love all the attachments too and the curling tongs are epic! I actually can't wait to use them more when I cut my hair above shoulder height because I feel I'll get the most out of it then!"
Another happy customer added: "I was so tied between the Dyson and the Shark, and I'm so happy I went with the Shark. It's so easy to use, I've long think hair which took me 15 mins to dry and style. It feels and looks like I've just left the hair saloon. Highly recommend!"

Both hair dryers feel powerful, but Shark beat out Dyson in our labs. The Shark HyperAir looks like a dupe for the double-the-price Dyson Supersonic. It forgoes a long barrel and instead opts for a short, wide one that, like the Dyson, acts as the control center with three buttons for air and three for heat settings.
After using the Shark FlexStyle consistently for over a year, I can totally say that it's a tool that matches its price tag. Not only do I feel confident that I'm able to style my hair just as good (if not better) as with a traditional hot tool without the heat damage, but it has also saved me so much time overall.
But now, there's a new contender that's rivaling it blow for blow: the Shark FlexStyle. Launched in 2022, the Shark multi-styler hair dryer quickly rocketed to viral fame as a Dyson Airwrap dupe. It comes equipped with an arsenal of tools for achieving nothing short of sleek blowouts to voluminous curls sans salon.
Well, it depends on your own expectations and needs. Those looking for a budget pick that offers big bang for your buck and tons of flexible attachments should consider a Shark vacuum. On the other hand, anyone seeking style and substance in a machine that's built to last for years can't go wrong with a Dyson.
With the newest version of the Dyson Airwrap, users can expect a single, reversible curling barrel that can be simply twisted to change directions of the curls. The Shark Flexstyle utilizes two curling attachments, each featuring an arrow to notify users of which way it will curl their hair.
If you want to replace your blow dryer or don't own one currently, the Shark FlexStyle might be the better option for you. However, if your primary consideration is a multi-styling hair tool that is incredibly effective at not only blowing out your hair, but also curling it, the Dyson Airwrap is the right pick.
Price. Comparing the price of the Airwrap with the FlexStyle is an easy calculation. The FlexStyle, at $299.99, is half the price of the $599.99 Airwrap.
You can of course just use it on dry hair as a styler, but I definitely find its better with damp hair. You can always keep a little spray bottle of water handy, but equally, if you just want a little touch up in the morning then you will still see results when your hair is dry.
The key to achieving curl staying power with the Flexstyle (for me) has been sussing the right level of dampness before using the auto-wrap curlers. I use the hair dryer with the styling concentrator to rough dry, starting at the top of my head and pointing down.
Your best bet for drying fine hair is the Shark SpeedStyle, a tool with five unique attachments that shape, smooth, and style hair without heat damage. If you're looking for something less expensive, we recommend the Revlon One-Step Volumizer, a hot air brush that dries hair quickly and voluminously.
Dyson Accuses SharkNinja of Copying Cyclonic Vacuum Technology. SharkNinja Inc. ripped off groundbreaking cyclonic vacuum cleaner technology developed by rival appliance maker Dyson Inc. and should be permanently blocked from selling its copycat bagless vacuums in the US, according to a lawsuit.
The Shark FlexStyle uses powerful airflow and less direct heat, making it much less damaging to hair compared to regular curling irons, straighteners, and blow dryers.
A quick BTW before we get into it: Yes, the Shark SmoothStyle advertises that it is less damaging compared to other heated hair tools, but no matter what, using any heat—regardless of the amount—on your hair is not good for it.
It's true: In our Lab tests, the motor on the Supersonic produced the best airflow compared to any other hair dryer tested, and it dried hair the fastest. For me, that's under 20 minutes for thick, curly hair that reaches well past my waist.
As well as speed, the Shark scores well for noise; though it's more noticeable than the Dyson's output, it's impressively quiet, especially compared to traditional hair dryers.
